IB Math Applications (SL)

IB Math Applications – SL is designed for students who enjoy solving practical, real-world problems using mathematics, exploring mathematical models, and who can appreciate the links between the theoretical and the practical concepts in mathematics. There is an emphasis on statistics, modelling and the applications of mathematics and how technology can support this.

Topics include: number and algebra, functions, geometry and trigonometry, statistics and probability, and calculus.

Technology: IB-approved graphics display calculator (e.g. TI-83/84)

Laptop or desktop device with Windows, Mac, or Chrome OS. Webcam and headset with microphone. Access to Google Workspace for Education (GNSPES/SEPNE) or other productivity software.
