First Semester & Second Semester
Students will be expected to create and manipulate digital and electronic images, motion graphics and sound. Students will critically reflect on and demonstrate an understanding of the cultural, historical, and emotional impact of other people’s multimedia products by examining their form and content, audience and purpose.
Students will also create a multimedia-authored personal portfolio and explore various educational and career paths in multimedia-related fields.
This course is divided into four modules:
Creating and Manipulating Images, Creating and Manipulating Motion Graphics, Sound, and Collaborative Project and Personal Portfolio.

Technology
Students will need tools from the following categories:
· Access to Google Workspace for Education (GNSPES/SEPNE) or other productivity software.
· A laptop or desktop device with Windows or MacOS is required. This course is not compatible with Chromebooks. Computers must be able to run Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro at a minimum). Adobe Creative Cloud licenses will be provided.
· A device to record video and audio and a way to transfer the files to editing software
· A webcam and headset with microphone. School Contacts should check with their Regional NSVS Registrar to confirm current hardware and software requirements, compatibility, and availability for this course.
